Is SpendNote an accounting tool?
No, SpendNote is not an accounting or tax tool. It's designed specifically for internal cash tracking and creating proof of handoff. The receipts you create are for internal documentation purposes — they're not invoices and shouldn't be used for tax purposes. Think of it as a digital receipt book, not a ledger.

Can I customize the receipt templates?
Yes! With Starter and Pro plans, you can customize receipt templates including your company logo, custom wording, and even translate to different languages. You can also choose different styles and layouts. The only element that can't be changed is the disclaimer that clarifies this is not a tax document.

How do I share receipts with my team?
You can share receipts in multiple ways: email them directly from SpendNote, download as PDF and share via any platform, or print them for physical handoff. All team members with access can also view receipts in real-time from the dashboard. You can also generate shareable links for specific receipts.

Can I track multiple cash registers?
Absolutely! The Free Trial includes 1 register, Starter includes 2 registers, and Pro gives you unlimited registers. This is perfect for tracking cash at different locations, events, or departments. Each register can have its own color coding and settings for easy organization.

Does SpendNote work offline?
SpendNote is a web-based application that requires an internet connection to create and sync receipts. However, once a receipt is created, you can download it as a PDF for offline access. We're exploring offline capabilities for future updates.

The free trial gives you 14 days or 20 receipts (whichever comes first) to try SpendNote. You get 1 cash register, 1 user, basic receipt templates, and PDF reports. No credit card required to start. It's a full-featured trial so you can test everything before committing.

Yes! You can cancel your subscription at any time with no questions asked. We also offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. Your data remains accessible for export even after cancellation, and you can reactivate your account anytime within 90 days.
