Important: SpendNote is designed for internal cash tracking only. Receipts generated are proof of handoff — not invoices or tax documents.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SpendNote ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
SpendNote provides a cloud-based platform for:
- Creating and managing internal cash receipts
- Tracking cash movements across multiple registers
- Generating printable and emailable proof of cash handoff
- Team collaboration and visibility features
SpendNote is not:
- An accounting or bookkeeping software
- A tax preparation or filing tool
- An invoice generation system
- A replacement for professional financial advice
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
3.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit malware or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Use the Service for money laundering or other illegal financial activities
- Create receipts for transactions that did not occur
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Subscription Plans
SpendNote offers various subscription plans as described on our Pricing page. Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice.
5.2 Billing
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis depending on your selected plan. All fees are non-refundable except as described in Section 6.
5.3 Taxes
You are responsible for paying all applicable taxes. If we are required to collect taxes, they will be added to your invoice.
6. Cancellation & Refunds
6.1 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
6.2 Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for all paid plans. If you're not satisfied within 30 days of your first payment, contact us for a full refund.
6.3 Data Export
Upon cancellation, you may export your data for 30 days. After this period, your data will be permanently deleted.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SpendNote and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of all content you create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content as necessary to provide the Service.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpendNote shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses
- Service interruptions or errors
- Unauthorized access to your data
- Any third-party conduct on the Service
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
